Nina Korablyova: “I Can’t Imagine Working without the Computer!”
Success
After taking the IDEA course in Computer Fundamentals at the Yekaterinburg IDEA Center, stock keeper Nina Korablyova used her new skills to develop templates of her work documentation thus making inventory and reporting procedures much more efficient and increasing her personal job security.
Overview
Nina Korablyova works with a telephone cable company, and her job responsibilities include stocktaking of equipment and materials, with the inventory of more than 1,000 articles. For years she did her job without the computer, writing out all the documents and reports by hand. However, when she learned that her workplace would soon be equipped with a computer, she decided to take advantage of the free computer training offered at the IDEA Center and signed up for the Microsoft Unlimited Potential course in Computer Fundamentals.
After successfully completing the training, the alumna started using the new knowledge and skills in her work. She developed templates of all work-related documents, making inventory and reporting procedures much more efficient. She is planning to take more IDEA training and develop her e-mail and Internet skills, since soon she will be have to submit all her reports in electronic format via e-mail.
The computer has become an integral part and important tool in Nina Korablyova’s daily work, and she is grateful to the IDEA Project for the opportunity to gain new professional qualifications free of charge.
